Communities of Connection at Hopewell Presbyterian Church
A variety of small groups meet on a regular basis. Participants share and care, pray and worship, study the Bible with the intention of practical life application, and engage in service to others. For more information, contact Cathy Peterson, Minister of Spiritual Development at email@example.com.
LECTIONARY STUDY GROUPS
Wednesday 10:30 AM or 4:30PM
The lectionary study group is a more traditional “Bible Study” that will happen on Wednesdays at 9:30 and 4:30. In this study led by Pastor Melissa and Cathy Peterson, the group will encounter the text, dig into the text and the context, and leave prayer for the coming week.
"SO WHAT?" SMALL GROUPS
What does the text we studied on Wednesday and hear in worship on Sunday actually mean for our lives? "So What? Small Groups" are an opportunity to reflect on that together. If you are interested in being a part of or starting one of these groups please reach out. "Bible and Breakfast" (a version of this model) is open to all on Fridays at 7am for breakfast in Fellowship Hall.
Several times a year our youth (grades 6-12) gather for a special event to share food fun and fellowship. In addition, we encourage our young people to become active in the life of the congregation by helping to lead worship, participating in the intergenerational mission trip and taking part in church-wide events. Each spring there is a weekend retreat to Long Beach Island.
