In your email and over ZOOM on Sunday morning!
As we try to figure out what it means to worship faithfully in light of COVID-19, we are suspending worship in the sanctuary on Sunday mornings. We will be gathering each week for "virtual worship." For the most recent virtual worship service, click the button below.
Each week, there will be a variety of ways to engage in virtual worship: song suggestions, recorded sermons, and prayers. To accompany this, we will be holding an online gathering (using ZOOM) at 10:30am Sunday morning to explore the service together.
Crisis Care During COVID-19
As we seek to respond to the crisis, we are working to care for one another not only by holding virtual worship but also with the following opportunities. These opportunities are open to anyone in the wider community.
One-on-One Crisis Care
Spiritual Direction & Pastoral Care

Living & Learning
Wisdom & Wonder
While we are meeting for virtual worship, Wisdom & Wonder has gone on a temporary hiatus.
In the past, Wisdom & Wonder has met on Sunday mornings from 9:15 to 10:15 for our unique model of faith formation. We have divided the year into six to eight week periods, alternating between peer (adults and a multi-age class for children/young people) and inter-generational gatherings, during which, all ages gather at tables around light refreshments to sing, read scripture and share conversation about ways they see the Holy Spirit at work in their lives. In this setting, all learn to speak the language of faith using the Bible as a textbook and shared stories as curriculum. The role of parents in the faith formation process is supported and celebrated. Families learn together. We invite you to come and see how the wisdom of the elder and the wonder of the child nurture the roots of faith formation, encouraging the spiritual growth of the whole community.
Finding your Nook in the Community
During this crisis, we are continuing our various Growth Groups as a congregation. If you are interested in joining one of a variety of small groups that meet on a regular basis. Please click below to contact Cathy Peterson. These groups include:
Breakfast & Bible
In these groups, participants share and care, pray and worship, study the Bible with the intention of practical life application, and engage in service to others.
Connecting to the Community
As we share the love, we are committed to serving our wider community. We do this by sharing our building, by supporting community based projects, and by identifying and meeting needs within the community.
Sharing our Building
We invite the community to share our space. We have an accessible facility, with a well-equipped kitchen, sizeable Fellowship Hall, and many classrooms. Several groups make use of our building for meetings, recitals, receptions and concerts. We would love to have you join the community that uses our building.
Creative Connections Play School
CCPS is a non-profit program affiliated with Hopewell Presbyterian Church for children ages 3-5 and inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach to early childhood education. It's all about exploration and discovery--allowing children grow by making their ideas happen.
Hearts & Hammers
Operated by the Hopewell Valley Ecumenical Coalition, a non-profit organization with the support of Hopewell Presbyterian, Hearts and Hammers brings together members of various churches from throughout the Hopewell Valley, pooling together talent and resources to assist community members in need with basic projects around their homes that are just beyond their ability to manage on their own.
